Dr. Anirban Tarafdar, DNB, FICO, FRCS (Glasgow), and fellowship in retina at Arvind Eye Hospital, Madurai, joined AK Eye Hospital in 2016. He provides comprehensive retina management, including retina lasers and vitrectomies. He specializes in secondary IOLs and complex cataract surgeries. He routinely performs refractive cataract surgeries and LASER vision correction for patients desiring spectacle independence.

AK Eye Hospital was founded by Dr. Amit Tarafdar, who is a pioneer in the field of ophthalmology. He specializes in cataract, refractive, glaucoma, and oculoplastic surgeries. He is representing India on various national & international forums and has been awarded the INTERNATIONAL SCHOLAR AWARD by AAO (American Academy of Ophthalmology). He is a former president of IIRSI (Indian Intraocular Implant & Refractive Society of India). He has seen the entire spectrum of advancements in the field of ophthalmology over the past 40 years, starting from ICCE to ECCE to phacoemulsification. Dr. Ankita Tarafdar, MS, DNB, has fellowships in phaco & refractive surgeries, glaucoma, and pediatric ophthalmology from AIIMS Delhi. She joined AK Eye Hospital in 2022. She brings in energy and dynamism to our team. She is in charge of all our camp activities and outreach programs. She is an expert cataract surgeon and specializes in ocular aesthetics.

Dr. Nausheen Niyaz has done her MBBS & MS from RGUHS, BANGALORE, followed by a fellowship in SICS & PHACO from M. M. JOSHI EYE INSTITUTE, HUBLI, KARNATAKA. She is a trained ophthalmologist who specializes in anterior segment surgery and oculofacial aesthetics. She has over 6 years of experience in the field and has joined AK EYE HOSPITAL Sitarganj since 2024 as a consultant. Dr. Nausheen's approach is to customize treatment and care according to your needs by using the most advanced techniques.

Dr. Chaiti Tarafdar, MBBS (Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi) and MBA, takes care of our busy OPDs and staff management. She is also in charge of maintenance and handles all grievances and ensures smooth and serene functioning of all departments.
